PARCC EOY Window

District Technology Coordinators and Technical Staff:

As we ramp down from the PARCC PBA window, many of you are beginning to ramp up for the PARCC EOY window.

As you are probably aware, you will have to do another student registration file upload and PNP file upload.

Pearson is working on back-end updates to PearsonAccess Next and documentation for how to export PBA data and re-import for EOY. We will keep you updated as Pearson develops a procedure and ODE tests it out.

ODE should have more guidance by the middle of next week.

PARCC Technology Release Update

The purpose of this email is to highlight two important changes to the technology used for the PARCC Operational Assessments that were discussed in last week’s hot topics call.

  1. New *Optional* TestNav Application Update (iOS and ChromeOS)
  2. PearsonAccessnext 2.2 Release

PARCC and Pearson have been working closely with schools, districts, and states to ensure readiness for operational window, so our intention is to limit the number of changes occurring to systems and processes at this late stage. However, the above mentioned updates are either optional and/or include enhancements that are intended to put forward the best possible systems for the upcoming administration. Additional detail about the impact of the changes is detailed below.

About Ohio K12 Help

Ohio K12 Help Portal (ohio-k12.help) is emerging as a statewide site for Ohio districts and schools to submit support requests.

Over time, it will offer request routing for Ohio’s New State Testing program PBA and EOY. It will be another option in addition to using support channels for Pearson/PARCC, AIR and the department (ODE). The goal of this portal is to reliably route requests in a consistent form to the appropriate support organization. and improve customer experience and effectiveness for districts and schools over time. The department expects to better to plan for program improvements and service support demands.

Support request processing for other K12 statewide programs are expected to be available including ODE Roster Verification, Ready for Kindergarten Assessment and Early Learning Assessments.

Ohio-K12.help is a collaboration between the Ohio Department of Education and The Management Council of OECN.
