This message is for preschool and kindergarten educators, administrators, and data managers about the Ready for Kindergarten Online (KReady) system. The KReady system had recurring issues over the past week that disrupted assessment administration and trainings. The system is currently up and running. We will continue to monitor the system functionality throughout the administration windows. We apologize for the frustration and delays you may have experienced.
As a reminder, the KReady system will remain open through Nov. 1 for teachers to enter KRA-R data for items completed on paper. Also, your district’s report card is not impacted by the KRA-R unless your district uses the Language and Literacy domain of the KRA-R to determine on-track/not on-track status for kindergarten students. In that case, the only impact on the school report card would be for the Improving At-Risk K-3 Readers Component. The Department does not collect data on what tool the district uses as a reading diagnostic to identify students as on-track/not on-track.
