Dear District Testing Coordinators & Technology Coordinators:
AIR released new versions of the secure browsers for desktops and secure test apps for mobile devices in July and August. These are the only versions that can be used for 2018-2019 secure student testing. A grace period was allowed in which students could access the secure student testing site using either the 2017-2018 versions or the 2018-2019 versions. That grace period will end on Monday, September 24. After this date, only the 2018-2019 secure browser versions can be used to access the secure student testing site. Anyone attempting to use an older version will receive a “Browser not supported” message when launching the secure browser or app. Please be sure all devices to be used for secure testing have been updated to the 2018-2019 versions. Visit the Secure Browsers page of the portal for complete information on supported browsers, operating systems, installation instructions and other important information for making sure your district’s or school’s technology is ready for secure student testing.
